Going against the all-digital tide, the virtual world and permanent movement, Lumière de Verre (Light of Glass) is an artistic innovation engraved in the long history of image projection and glass work. It results from the diffusion of a stained glass tile through an objective from a high intensity light source.
Crafted in our workshop, each glass tile is the result of a minutious preparation and firing process. The melted glass flows into unique handmade indentations. The material, freed from its constraints, pours itself in the space it is given to inhabit. Extremely precise annealing freezes this moment of freedom where the glass was expressed.
The enlargement of the tile by our efficient optical system gives rise to a new expression, reading, of the glass work. A painting of luminous material is revealed disclosing the pure and unique beauty of glass.
Our craftsmen developed a lantern tower concept specific to our light to produce monumental and immersive scenography. Our towers were developed in a search for aesthetic discretion to withstand weather constraints while being practical to transport.
